Biography
Eva Maria Livia Amurri was born 15th March 1985 in New York City. Eva is the daughter of the Oscar winning actress Susan Sarandon and talented Italian-born director Franco Amurri. Her parents dated in 1980s but went their separate ways not long after Eva was born. Eva has six younger siblings from her parents’ new relationships.

1995 - Dwad Man Walking

2002 - Made-Up

2002 - The Banger Sisters

2004 - Saved!

2007 - Charlie Banks premiere
Amurri spent much of her childhood on film sets where she says the actors and crew took turns babysitting each other's children. Sometimes directors said, 'Let's give her something to do.' Following a brief appearance in Tim Robbins' Bob Roberts (1992), Amurri won a bigger role in his Dead Man Walking (1995). "Tim said, 'You can play Mom younger.' But the movie was so violent, I wasn't allowed to see it when it was released." Her step-brothers Miles Guthrie Robbins and Jack Henry Robbins also appeared in the movie, which stars Susan Sarandon.

Eva also made small cameos in Earthly Possessions and Anywhere But Here in 1999.

In 2002 Eva won first two major roles of her own. She played Sara Tivey in the indie film Made-Up directed by Tony Shalhoub. Although it took several years before the film was eventually released on DVD, Eva has been given credit for her performance. “The shining star of the film is the very striking Eva Amurri playing Brooke's daughter. With wise choices, she can go places in the film world,” writes David Ferguson at Internet Movie Database. Eva also played Ginger Kingsley in Bob Dolman’s The Banger Sisters, which stars Susan Sarandon and Goldie Hawn as two former rock groupies and best friends, who reconnect after 20 years. Eva has a key role as Susan’s quirky daughter, who has some groupie tendencies of her own. Amurri and Sarandon also starred together as a daughter and mother in an episode of Friends, which aired in February 2001.

First seen at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2004 wasthe indie satire Saved, in which Eva has a larger role as Cassandra, a rebellious Jewish girl in a Christian high school in Baltimore. In the movie Eva delivers her most memorable performance yet while bringing warmth, kookiness and a lot of comedy to the movie. She has been receiving acclaim and new fans for her amazing performance (and, no question, a number of great movie scripts!).

After graduating from high school in 2003, Amurri started studying anthropology at a New England university (class of 2007). Eva knows acting is what she loves to do but she first wants to see what is out there and take advange of education. “The thought of not acting for four years straight… I just can't think that way. I'm trying to act in the summers, but if I have to take a semester or two off I am totally willing to do that!"

Eva Amurri studied in Bologna, Italy for one semester and before graduating from university in 2007, she finished work on Fred Durst's The Education of Charlie Banks and Vadim Perelman's In Bloom. Her next movies will be Middle of Nowhere and Animals.

Amurri is surely a name to keep in mind for the future. She has natural talent and an eye for great parts and her short but growing filmography already shows versatility and great potential.
